Romanian folk dances - in our musical understanding inseparably linked with the name Béla Bartók. In his arrangement of the Romanian Folk Dances Daniel Hauptmann aimed to combine the pristine of the original and the sophisticated of the composition of Bartók. The violin part corresponds mostly to the version for violin and piano by Zoltán Székely, which was authorized by Bartók. Small harmonies have been added. He designed the viola part in such a way that it has something of spontaneous directness and harmonic improvising interpretation at the same time. Difficulty degree: intermediate.
