The capricas published here are by the then very famous violinist and violin teacher Pietro Rovelli. For the preceding volume they were transferred and arranged by Fritz Spindler for viola. Important technical requirements, such as layer changes, legato, string changes and line types are dealt with. Thus, the edition offers a solid basis for every violist to practice.
