Babkhuzia is a fictional land full of folklore and music: whenever I write music with a Slavonic flavour, I call it «Babkhuzian» to ironically justify its context. The present Babkhuzian Swagger is a concert showpiece for the intermediate-expert violist, with ample possibilities to exhibit technique, and a lyrical middle section.
