The composer writes in his autobiography: «It is a Suite ... in the classical form, and based on ancient dance rhythms; however, given the alphabetical sequence used, it has a strictly modern flavor, indeed a bit acidic at times. One might ask why the general title Suite 508: Because this was the name of the apartment we lived in at the Kellog Center.»
