Balz Trümpy is an avantgarde Swiss composer and music theorist. Among his teachers were Gerald Bennett and Luciano Berio. From 1979 - 2011, Trümpy served as a professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel. His compositional oeuvre includes countless works for modern lineups.
