Dieses Stück für Solo-Bratsche ist überwiegend in c-Moll geschrieben und bietet eine herausfordernde, aber zugängliche Erfahrung für den Anfänger am Konservatorium. Das Stück ist sehr fragmentarisch aufgebaut, mit kurzen, wechselnden Motiven, die den Spieler dazu einladen, mit verschiedenen Klangfarben und Artikulationen zu experimentieren. This piece for solo viola is primarily composed in C minor and provides a challenging yet accessible experience for the beginner conservatory student. The piece is highly fragmentary in structure, with short, alternating motifs that invite the player to experiment with various colors and articulations. Esmail holds degrees in composition form the Juliana school and Yale University.Varsha is a contemplative work exploring South Asian cultural roots. Fantaisie en mi pour Violon et piano, op. 109

Kürzlich bei mir entdeckt, ein Werk mit der Op. Nr. 109, komponiert 02.11.1969, welches ich unter der Einstudierung von Chr.v.Heydebrand vermutlich 1970 im Turbachtal oberhalb Gstaad uraufgeführt hatte.

Christa von Heydebrand war nicht Jüdin. Bitte daher den Eintrag "als Jüdin im anthroposophischen Milieu" korrigieren. Sie war vater- wie mütterlichseits aus altem deutschem Adel. Ihre Eltern und sie selbst waren Anthroposophen. Sie hatte zwar ein grosses Interesse am Judentum, aber selbst durch ihre Heirat wurde sie nicht Jüdin. Die Ehe, die übrigens nie eingetragen wurde und daher in der Schweiz nicht rechtsgültig war, ging schon nach wenigen Monaten in die Brüche, und sie ersetzte danach auf allen jenen Kompositionen aus dieser Zeit, die sie zuerst mit Jyalah Mizrahi gezeichnet hatte, diesen Namen wieder durch Christa von Heydebrand.
